My pick for the week is Cassandra Clare's new Mortal Instruments release, The City of Fallen Angels.
What I like about this cover:
1 - Handsome Simon (not Jace, thank you Vy for pointing this out, don't know what I was thinking. His dark hair should have given it away) and the beautiful Clary magically hovering over New York City.
2 - The warm tones (angel light, maybe) that dart across the image and simultaneously make Clary's firey red locks that much more dramatic.
2 - The subtle and transparent rune drawings which gracefully overlay the entire cover.
Just gorgeous! Every book in this series has a breath taking cover!

My niece brought home this book the other day. She told me it was an amazing series. I have not yet read any of the books, but I did notice that the cover art was very well done when I saw it. Awesome cover art might not make me read a book, but it will get me to read the cover details pretty frequently.
