A Make-Over for The Soul Quest Trilogy!

If you have never heard of the fabulous Kelsey Kukal-Keeton? Please stop by her website and check out her work! She has re-invented the covers to my Soul Quest Trilogy and they are amazing. The cover models, Serena and Michael (AKA - Liv and Shy) are absolutely gorgeous!

Here is the cover art and blurb for each book!

Do you remember how horrified you were about the idea of attending high school? I remember ticking off those last miserable days of my summer vacation following my eighth grade year. Maybe you don’t, maybe you were one of those people. You know who I’m talking about, people like Melissa Small, the distinguished District Attorney, Larry Small’s daughter. She’s popular, gorgeous and absolutely terrifying to someone like Liv Glyn. No, Liv is far from measuring up to the standards required to make Melissa’s crowd. She’s not even close. Liv is just a simple man’s daughter, mostly tolerated by her peers. If this isn’t depressing enough for you, stay tuned, it gets worse.

Liv was commanded with Spirit at birth by the Great Spirit, Hala. I know, it sounds crazy but it’s true. If you think it’s difficult to be a teenager, try being a teenager who was born destined to save the world from soul sucking Daevas and their mutant progeny Aengels.

There are four of them. Liv’s companions of Spirit are Laith Lightfoot, Brayan Akin and Meena Sodden. Getting back to Melissa Small, she is Laith’s step sister and is always meddling where she doesn’t belong, further complicating everything. To make matters even worse, Liv’s best friend, Jedd is apparently aware of things that are typically undetectable to ordinary humans. So, Liv is forced to deceive Jedd, the boy who has been her constant standby since the third grade, to shield him from the horrible and very dangerous truth. Did I mention that she is falling in love with him? The term awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it, trust me.

Welcome to the mess that is the life of a human Oracle.

Purchase on Amazon

Liv, Laith, Brayan and Meena are back with a mission and a militia for justice. The four human Oracles join forces with their spirit counter parts in Arcadia to form The Guardians of Souls. Shy has fled to Los Angeles to escape the consequences of Melissa and Jesse’s deaths and Hala, the Great Spirit, has reason to believe he is not alone. Neither the Spirits in Arcadia or the NYPD in New York City has turned up any trace of Shy since his disappearance after the tragic events played out on Valentine’s Day.

Liv and her companions of spirit find themselves torn between the human world and Arcadia once more. Their duty as human Oracles continuously interferes and threatens the stability and safety of their friendships and romantic lives.

Get ready for all hell to break loose as Liv and her friends set out on a quest to hunt down Shy and finish him for good. This time the Spirit World means business when they find Shy playing up to his usual tricks. The odds are against Shy this time around but this may not pan out to be such a lucky break for the human Oracles. Could it be that Shy isn’t their worst enemy after all?
Is Earth once again safe from the perils of Daevas and Aengels? Are Liv’s human friends safe or will they be baited and harmed again?

Only the Spirits know…

In the third and final installment of The Soul Quest Trilogy the Oracles head to the Scottish Highlands in pursuit of Lefu and Etheline. When they finally catch up with the fallen spirits they are unexpectedly met by another mysterious creature, but is this magical being evil?

The spirited teens find themselves faced with loss and betrayal in this epic adventure.

Who will Liv choose to be her soul mate? Will it be Beau or Jedd? Which boy will face a future empty of his greatest desire?

Brayan will be deceived by the one person he trusts the most? Will he ever forgive his betrayer, or himself?

Laith has already lost his sister to the Daevas. Will a complication cause him to lose Drue too?

Meena will find the weight of the world submerging her deep into waters of the Loch Ness. Will she rise against it?

Last but not least, will the Oracles finally rid the Earth of Daeva's and Aengels?

Afflictions of the soul wade deep. It's time to sink or swim. Tread carefully...

Cover Reveal for Fate and Fury by Quinn Loftis!

Wooo! Hoooo! I've been waiting for this one for a long time, baby!

It will be here March 15th!

The cover is gorgeous! I especially love Sally's marking! Please comment and tell me what you think!

Synopsis

The last few days have been the darkest of Sally’s life. After experiencing the joy of finding her mate, she now suffers the pain of losing everything she holds dear. Both the Romanian and Serbian packs have been captured, ripping Sally’s soul mate away from her almost as soon as she had found him. Her best friend and the emotional glue that usually holds Sally together, Jacque Pierce, lies writhing in a restless coma, having been put down by Desdemona’s dark magic. Jennifer Adams, the unshakable one, has revealed to her friends and her mate that she is pregnant, but the Fates have marked her unborn baby for death. Though she rails against the darkness, deep inside Jen knows that Decebel’s baby must die as payment for her own life, and the knowledge is tearing her soul to pieces. Cypher, King of the Warlocks, has claimed Jacque’s mother as his mate and agreed to help Desdemona open a door that would release a horde of demons from beyond the Veil.

Though her world is crashing down around her, Sally holds out hope. The Great Luna is not sitting idly by. She has commanded the Fey council to call upon the packs—all of them. And though Cypher looks for a way to open the Veil for Desdemona, he struggles to protect Lilly and the wolves at the same time. Peri, the ever-courageous High Fae, and a contingent of the remaining females of the Romanian and Serbian packs, push on through the rough Carpathian Mountains. Though they are bound to the human realm, they continue to search for a way to cross over to the land of the Fey. Meanwhile, in reluctant obedience to the Great Luna, the Fey council sends representatives to the far corners of the globe, meeting with the pack Alphas. The Fey must convince the Alphas of every pack to lay aside their petty territorial squabbles and battles of dominance. If they refuse, both the humans and the supernatural races will fall at Mona’s feet.

Sally holds to a shred of hope. Though Vasile, Decebel, and their pack mates endure the torture of the In-Between, living their worst nightmares over and over, Sally holds. Though she knows that it is only a matter of time before their wolves take over, she holds. Sally knows that if the males die, then so too will their mates who have performed the Blood Rites, including her best friends Jen and Jacque. Yet she holds. If the males lose themselves to their wolves and turn feral, so too do their mates. Still she holds. Though Vasile, the strongest Alpha in their history to unite the wolves, is lost beyond the Veil, Sally holds. Though Decebel, the only other wolf besides Vaile strong enough to unite the packs, suffers beyond the Veil, Sally will hold. No one is left to unite their race, and defeat Desdemona. Yet Sally still holds. She holds out hope that the Great Luna will not abandon them, cannot abandon them. Throughout the centuries, the Great Luna has always provided a gypsy healer to the packs, especially in times of great need. Now Sally is that healer. Sally fears what role she has to play in the defeat of Desdemona, but she will play it. Though heaven and hell unite against her, she WILL play it.

For too long the supernatural races have lived in separation, warring amongst themselves, allowing trivial power plays and selfish disputes to keep them from uniting. That separation has made them weak. Now, being summoned as a collective force to the same land, will they come? Will they come in numbers greater than have been seen in centuries? Will they destroy each other and save Mona the trouble, or will they finally unite and fight as one?

Here's my Teaser!

“I feel so much better now.”
I relaxed into my seat at the lunch table. I didn’t even care that Reese Good, our gorgeous starting quarterback, was still glaring at me as he rubbed the side of his neck. Hadn’t he smiled at me in English class today? I didn’t think he would mind.
“Rhapsody, I know you’re a vampire, but you’ve got to get your feeding habits under control,” Hardy complained for the hundredth time.
“I have a blood sugar problem. If I don’t eat every two to three hours I might pass out. I don’t see what the big deal is,” I argued.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Hardy was rolling his eyes now.
I still didn’t understand his frustration. If God hadn’t intended for vampires to feed on humans he wouldn’t have thrown us together in this world.
“Look, I’m constantly surrounded by food. It would be very irresponsible for me to neglect my health.”
“Your diet varies slightly from the average person,” Samantha chimed in to support Hardy.
”I don’t see what the problem is. If the mortals get hungry, they just grab a Snickers or something. If I get hungry, I open the closest human vein.”
Hardy and Samantha shot me disgusted looks. My diet was an instinct they struggled to come to terms with.
“What? It’s not like it hurts them. My venom makes the bite entirely painless, I never take more than they can spare and I’m a very tidy eater. I never make a mess!” I defended myself.
“They’re human, Rhapsody. It’s not normal to go around biting people and drinking their blood,” Samantha scolded.
“Everyone hates vampires. It isn’t fair,” I pouted. “Aside from my dietary challenges, crooked fangs and morbidly pale complexion, I’m just like anyone else.”

Vampire Valentine is on sale now!

It's here!
How is it that vampires, werewolves and witches always manage to become glamorized in Hollywood? They are forever portrayed as the overwhelmingly gorgeous, record-breaking athletic types with off-the-chart SAT scores! This is such a load of crap. Let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute. It’s never easy being different, even under normal circumstances. Now, factor in the reality that your DNA is something far from human and imagine yourself wandering the halls of an ordinary mortal high school. You still think this would be cool, right? Well, you would be dead wrong (no pun intended). Take it from someone who can claim this miserable fate, it totally sucks!
The name’s Rhapsody Ripper and I am a freshman at Mundane High. Everyone in my school hates me and my two best friends, Hardy Hunter and Samantha Spell. Why? The answer is very simple. We’re freaks of nature, complete outcasts. We’re para-ab-normal misfits and we don’t fit in. Our peers go out of their way to avoid us on a regular basis but today something happened that has never ever happened before.
One of them was nice to me. Actually, he was much more than nice. With only five days remaining until Valentine’s Day, Reese Good, the deliciously warm-blooded star quarterback, invited me to the Sweetheart Dance. Maybe this year I won’t have to spend the holiday invented by a greeting card company alone.

Meet the characters...
Rhapsody Ripper – Blond and beautiful, even with crooked fangs, this brace-faced vampire is a hopeless romantic. She’s had her sights set on winning the affection of the handsome star quarterback of the Mundane High’s varsity football team and has finally captured his attention. Just when she thinks things are going her way her life becomes very complicated.
Hardy Hunter – This werewolf is an asset to Mundane High’s football team as long as he doesn’t get distracted or lose his temper. His loyalty to his friends is unwavering even when he becomes jealous and envious of attention they receive that he doesn’t. More than anything this guy just wants to fit in and be accepted.
Samantha Spell – This witch can’t master her spells or earn passing grades in her classes at Mundane High. Not only does she fail to fit in with the humans but she fears she’ll never get the hang of being a witch. This chick is in dire need of a serious boost in self-esteem.

ARC Reviews for Vampire Valentine

~Taneisha @A Diary of a Book Addict

Vampire Valentine is a funny story that I absolutely loved! Amy Jones has such a way with writing that draws you in you can't help but to sit and read her books in one sitting. Lord I have never laughed so hard reading this paranormal romance. It made me remember high school and especially freshmen year in high school. I was so quiet and kept to myself because I had no brothers but I had 11 boy cousins and they were very very over protective. So when it came time to Valentine's day I was excited to be getting all those carnations until my cousins saw them and then the interrogation started. When they found out who sent them they tried to scare him off but he was determined and won the hearts of my uncles and cousins and I was finally able to date him.

Rhapsody is a freshmen at Mundane High School and she has two best friends Hardy and Samantha. They are considered freaks and no one talks to them. Then five days before Valentine Days Reese Good who is the star Quarterback of the football team approaches Rhapsody and invites her to the Sweetheart dance she is thrilled and then shocked because no one has ever spoken to her let alone asked to her a dance. She is scared and excited but at the same time she is being cautious because it is high school and she knows people play pranks so she is keeping her eyes open.

What will happen between Rhapsody and Reese? Will she have a happily ever after with Reese? Will she have a great Valentine's Day? This is a must read for all you romance buffs.

~Mindy @ Books Complete Me

Amy Jones NEVER disappoints. EVER. After reading her amazing book Wildflower, I jumped at the chance to read an advanced copy of Vampire Valentine.

Author Amy Jones has a gift at writing paranormal romance. This Valentine's Day PR leaves you smiling long after you finish the story. I love how I felt when I finished reading this story.

High school SUCKS and everyone feels like an outcast. What better way to symbolize this than a witch, Samantha, who sucks at spells, a hot headed but loyal werewolf, Hardy and a teen vampire with braces, Rhapsody who is not so picky about her snacks (THIS part made me HONESTLY laugh out loud)!

This PR Comedy short not only shows you the nightmares of high school when you are different but gives you an amazing lesson in friendship, trust and believing in yourself and your friends. I was sad when this story ended. I really hope that we get to hear more of this story soon.

~ Jessica @ Literary, Ect...

A vampire, werewolf, and a witch walk into a high school, no this isn’t the start of a joke, but the characters in Amy Maurer Jones’ paranormal comedy short. Vampire Valentine is about three misfit supernatural beings who happen to be best friends. Our vampire is Rhapsody Ripper who has crooked fangs and wears braces. Hardy Hunter is a werewolf and is on the football team. He’s protective of Rhapsody and there might be little more to their friendship, but Jones doesn’t expand on this (I believe Hardy is secretly in love with her). Finally, we have Samantha Spell, Rhapsody's best friend, who happens to be a witch, but she’s still learning to cast spells. So what happens when Rhapsody gets asked to the Valentine’s Day dance by the star footballer? What chaos will ensue? I’m keeping quiet, but I’ll say this, Jones reminds us that high school really does suck.

What I really liked about Vampire Valentine is that it reminds us what it feels like to be in high school all over again. Do you remember your high school crush? I do, his name was Gunther and he wasn’t the star football player, but he did play on the team. I’d get all tongue tied when he’d try to talk to me, so imagine my surprise when he called me one day and I hung up on him! When Reese Good asks Rhapsody to the dance, I was cheering her on, but then immediately my mind went to Drew Barrymore’s character in Never Been Kissed, where she’s asked to the prom and at the end, her date throws eggs at her from the limo with his real date. Lucky for us that doesn’t happen to Rhapsody, but we do have jealous girls and you can imagine what they’ll try to do to sabotage Rhapsody’s big day. Never fear Rhapsody has her best friend to back her up.

In paranormal books, we are often given characters with perfect powers. I loved how Samantha was learning how to be a witch and there’s a hilarious scene involving a spell gone wrong. Jones reminds what it's like to be the outsider. My 15 year old self really could associate with Rhapsody and Samantha. Jones also shows us how students don’t quite understand people from different backgrounds. She does a superb job in Wildflower with this and here she touches upon it with her three misfits. For example, Rhapsody is asked to play the witch in the school play so her fellow students can burn her at the stake and she has to explain that she’s a vampire. Jones is a teacher and it's very clear from reading this and Wildflower, that she truly knows how to get into a teenager's mindset.

Vampire Valentine is a delightful read! If you’re a parent, this is definitely a book you and your teenager can both read and enjoy.

~ Bella from Twi

What a great book. This short story was cute and funny and a great break from the heavy and complicated stories that I often read. I love Samantha and her friends and can't wait for the next in this series.

~ Jacqueline @ JD's Leisure Zone

What if your best friend was a witch? Or a werewolf? Or a vampire? Well what if all three were best friends in high school? Well that’s just what you have in Vampire Valentine. Check out this quote from the book:

I still didn't understand his frustration. If God hadn't intended for vampires to feed on humans he wouldn't have thrown us together in this world.

A witch, a vampire, and a werewolf, at a high school with other normal kids. It makes for the setting for a very enjoyable book.

The vampire gets asked to the sweetheart dance by the guy she took a snack off of. None other than the most popular guy at school, a normal, and on the football team. Then her werewolf friend starts acting jealous. So this brings up the questions: Is football boy’s dance invite for real? Or just a mean prank?

But then the bad of bads happens, and our vampire gal gets banned from the dance on the day of the dance, by the principal. And it seems football boy was genuine in his invite. Check out some more quotes from the book:

I trudged toward my locker after my final class to collect my books before heading home to sit in my bedroom alone for the rest of the evening.

We had no choice but to tell Reese the whole gory story. After he finished cursing at Ashley and Kelly he stalked off toward Principal Pleasant’s office.

So what happens next? How does it all turn out? Now you know my reviews, and I never reveal the ending. You have to buy the book to find out. And it is .99 cents well spent.

P.S.
This is the beginning of a series, and you can look for the next one around April Fools’ Day

~ Michele @ Intoxicated by Books

I was absolutely thrilled by this short story. It is LAUGH OUT LOUD funny and I love the way Amy has written it. The story is very well written and put together wonderfully.

Fly Away, Book two in The Wildflower Series
Coming Spring 2013

(unedited)
"I tried to steer clear of her, I swear, but it was impossible. Seeing her at the diner, day in and day out in that cute little pink uniform with her luxurious black hair twisted and coiled at the nape of her neck nearly drove me mad. I just kept imagining her long, dark mane unfurling around her shoulders while she stood bare legged in one of my tattered old tee shirts. God help me! "

That's it! So, what do you think? The voice you're hearing in this blurb belongs to Dannie (a former reincarnate of Jordan). You will get to know this young man a whole lot better in Fly Away (and so does Laney)!
