Follow Friday! (Meme #4)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee. It's purpose is to promote support and friendship among bloggers.

This week's question is by Al @ Magnet for Books.

Q. Circle time! Time to share. What character in a book would you most like to be, what character in a book would you most like to date?

What character in a book would you most like to be?
Hmmm, this is a tough question. I would definitely choose a strong and independently minded character. Maybe Rose from Vampire Academy by Richelle Meade, Brighid from Brighid's Quest by P. C. Cast, or Katniss from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I like characters who know what they want or at least aren't afraid of trying to figure out what they want. I also admire female characters who know how to take care of themselves.

What character in a book would you most like to date?
Well, I can't imagine any male character more chivalrous or charming than my own hubby, but if I were comparing fictional characters I would say my type would be old fashioned and a proper gentlemen. He would be the type to open up doors and pull out chairs for his lady. He would be intelligent and well mannered and he would demonstrate respect for himself and others at all times. So, fictionally speaking, who would that be? Edward Cullen from Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, David and Tamani from Wings by Aprilynne Pike and Jack from My Blood Approves by Amanda Hocking.

How would you answer these questions? Leave a link to your page here.

  1. I didn't even think of Edward when I was writing my response. I love strong characters as well. Here's my response:

  2. I love strong female characters. I choose Alanna from Tamora Pierce's novels for just the reasons you listed above--she knew what she wanted and she wasn't afraid to go after it. Katnis is still one of my favorite characters too. I had a hard time deciding which one I would like to date though too--love my hubby too much. You have a great blog. I am a new follower.

Kiwi, I totally agree with you about Robert Patterson. I felt several of the casting choices for the film were a bit of a let down, but I still love the 'real' Edward, in the book. Real! lol!

    Smiles,
    Amy
